Summary

This course is for teachers and other educational consultants who are undertaking Stage 1 of the Professional Development Leader Development Programme and who wish to become accredited with CPD Quality MarkYou should have completed FD101 and FD102 before completing this course.

This course looks at what can help make Mathematics CPD as effective as possible, it starts by exploring what the evidence suggests and then looks at how this can be put into practice. The whole process of running a course is considered: starting at the planning phase as outcomes are written; examining the sort of activities (including assessment) that could be part of the CPD itself; and finishing with techniques to support participants post-course.

Who is it for?

This course is for mathematics teachers who have completed FD101 and FD102 and wish to become accredited with the CPD Quality Mark.

Outcomes

You will be able to:

  • Facilitate effective mathematics CPD sessions that are likely to have a lasting positive impact on teachers, support staff and students.
  • Understand how a range of evidence-led approaches to teaching mathematics can be developed in others through teacher CPD.

Notes

This is the third of three courses in our Associate Professional Development Leader CPD quality mark training.

FD109 - Facilitating effective professional development in mathematics - this will help you to identify mathematics subject-specific principles and considerations when delivering effective professional development.
