Physicists in Primary Schools
This collection from Physicists in Primary Schools (PIPS) is designed to interest and enthuse young children with the enjoyment and excitement of physics. Developed by a team from the University of Sheffield for the Institute of Physics (IOP), it is designed to support primary school teachers particularly with abstract concepts when teaching physical processes. Presentations start with basic concepts and end by linking physics research with the children’s everyday experiences. Activities, which are designed to engage children through focused practical work, use mainly resources to be found in the home and involve the whole class.
