Number Patterns Resource Bank
This resource bank consists of 20 activities exploring and investigating different number patterns. The activities include:
- Finding simple number patterns on a number square
- Finding the lowest common multiple
- Finding factors of numbers
- Finding prime numbers using Erastosthene’s sieve
- Forming factor chains and factor trees
- Exploring what happens when odd and even numbers are added
- Representing number patterns using dots
- Find a number given three of its properties
- Exploring difference patterns
- Representing patterns using matchsticks
- Exploring number patterns on a geoboard
- Investigating the possible number of intersections of straight lines
- Investigating the Fibonacci sequence
These resources were produced at the Resources for Learning Development Unit in Bristol by a collaborative group of teachers: Laurinda Brown, Dave Hewitt, Jo Waddingham and Pat Evans.
