Polygon Resource Bank

This resource bank consists of 16 activities exploring and investigating polygons. The activities include:

  • The 'make a polygon' game for two players
  • Making polygons using a pinboard
  • Investigating the number of diagonals in a polygon
  • Exploring the shapes and tessellation properties of different polyominoes
  • Investigations using pentominoes
  • Activities using pentagons
  • Activities using hexagons
  • Activities using triangles
  • Making polygons in a circle

These resources were produced at the Resources for Learning Development Unit in Bristol by a collaborative group of teachers: Laurinda Brown, Dave Hewitt, Jo Waddingham and Pat Evans.
