GCSE Student Booster - Arrays, Strings and Records (Post-event materials)

In this online session on Arrays, Strings, and Records, you will have explored key GCSE data management concepts that will help you work with data more efficiently in programming. By attending, you will have:

  • Learned how to use one-dimensional and two-dimensional arrays to organise and manage data in real-world tasks.
  • Discovered how to perform essential array operations such as inserting, updating, and retrieving data, and seen how two-dimensional arrays can be applied to common scenarios like handling tables or grids.
  • Dived into string manipulation, including concatenation, slicing, searching, and modifying strings. You will also have learned how records can store related but different types of data to make managing complex data much easier.
  • Learned how records group related data into fields of different types, simplifying data management for tasks like storing and organising complex information, such as car rental bookings.

You should now feel confident in using one-dimensional and two-dimensional arrays, handling advanced string operations, and working with records to solve real-world programming challenges.
