GCSE Student Booster - Robust Programs (Pre-event materials)

In this online session on Robust Programs, you’ll explore essential GCSE programming concepts for designing reliable and secure software.

By attending, you’ll:

  • Learn how to apply defensive design principles, including anticipating misuse and implementing authentication techniques.
  • Develop input validation routines to ensure data integrity, such as checking for length, range, and presence.
  • Discover how to improve code maintainability through sub-programs, consistent naming conventions, proper indentation, and effective commenting.
  • Practise writing robust programs using practical exercises and examples to handle errors gracefully and enhance program reliability.

By the end of this session, you’ll feel confident in creating programs that anticipate and manage errors, ensuring functionality across a range of scenarios.
