Probability 1: introducing probability

This resource from the Continuing Mathematics Project has three units covering probability.

Introducing Probability is the first unit and its objectives are that students will learn that a probability can be from intuitive considerations or actual experimental results; the meaning of 'outcomes', 'sample space', and specified 'events'; perceive probability as a measure of likeliness; to understand the meaning of 'complementary events'; and to be able to calculate the probability of one event when the probability of its complement is known.
