Key stage 4: science changes!
Part of a series intended for students taking GCSE science syllabuses, this volume explores developments in science. The text includes questions, activities and a summary at the end of each unit to precis its aims and contents and is intended for use at Key Stage 4 of the National Curriculum. The complete programme of books aims to allow each child to build on knowledge and skills in a progressive way from levels 5 to 16.
All attainment targets are covered at levels 7 to 20 as recommended and information technology is integrated wherever appropriate. Particular emphasis is placed on AT 17 - the nature of science. Exploration of science has a central role in the students' books which is reinforced by the explorations resource and the series is accompanied by a teacher's handbook which suggests teaching and learning strategies and provides attainment target matrices and assessment guidelines.
