Mathematics 5-11: a handbook of suggestions

Following a National Survey of Primary Education carried out by HM Inspectorate which ended in 1977, this booklet was produced against the background of the findings, with the knowledge of primary schools who proved particularly successful in mathematics. It sets out to identify those parts of the subject which should be taught to every child, and gives some guidance on approaches which teachers have shown to be effective.
